Nigerians held Funeral prayer for late former president of Egypt, Morsi

After the death of the former president of Egypt, Mohammed Morsi many Muslims faithful around the world held a funeral prayer for him and Nigerians were not left out.



In Islam it is permissible to held funeral prayer for a deceased Muslim even if his corpse is not accessible such type of prayer is called salatul Ghaib.

Reports from Osun state says that Muslims in the state held the funeral prayer for the late Morsi.

Such funeral Prayer was also held in places like Sokoto state.

Some believed that Morsi didn't have a fair trial in the hand of Egypt authorities. Members of Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt held protest to express their anger over Morsi's death in custody.
